Senior Director of Human Resources
As Senior Director of Human Resources, Carol Emmel oversees staffing, compensation and benefits and ensures that the company is positioned for continued growth.
Carol’s human resources management experience includes non-profit organizations, academia, business and manufacturing. Before joining TRC, Carol was Human Resources Manager at Homes for Independent Living, supporting more than 1000 employees and serving on the organization’s leadership team.
At Herzing University, she was Director of Organization Development. There she directed the organization’s efforts in the areas of leadership, management and employee training, social responsibility and ethics, employee engagement, and organizational communication, and led initiatives designed to promote and develop culture. As Herzing’s Manager/Director of Human Resources, she managed the human resources department, implemented new programs and services to promote employee engagement and development and chaired the human resources executive committee.
At Rexnord Industries, Carol was Human Resources Manager, leading all human resources functions including recruiting, benefits, salary administration and payroll issues for the customer care division.
Carol holds an M.S. in Administrative Leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, with an emphasis in Adult and Continuing Education. She earned a B.S. from Carroll University with a major in business administration. Carol earned a Certificate in Organization Development from the Association for Talent Development (ATD). She is a member of the Association for Talent Development and the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM).
