Other bills closed loopholes commonly used to block housing. SB 4, also known as the “Yes in God’s Backyard” act, will allow faith groups to build affordable housing on their property.”

The Mercatus Center at George Mason University released a report outlining over 200 housing bills introduced in 23 states last year. Florida opened up to further development with its Live Local Act, designed to increase the affordable housing stock.
