TRC Global Mobility (TRC) is pleased to announce that John Svahra, CRP, Director, Global Business Development, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the New England Relocation Association (NERA) for 2024.
NERA provides a forum for relocation professionals to:
- Expand knowledge of the issues affecting transferees and their families, both domestically and internationally,
- Provide a network for HR/Relocation peers from companies of all sizes to discuss relocation ideas, challenges, and solutions, and
- Help members to improve the quality of relocation programs, increase employee satisfaction, and contain costs for their organizations.
As a member of NERA’s Board, John will have the opportunity to contribute his insights and expertise to the larger community of relocation professionals. Said John: “I’m excited about this opportunity to collaborate with other corporate and supplier professionals and work together to enhance the quality of global mobility programs.”
Underlining TRC’s employee-owned culture of service and giving back, John Svahra and other TRC employee-owners have served on many national and global relocation group boards and committees, including WERC, Wisconsin Employee Relocation Council, Corporate Relocation Council (Chicago), New England Relocation Association, Metro Atlanta Relocation Council, North Texas Relocation Professionals, Houston Relocation Professionals, San Antonio Regional Relocation Council, Austin Relocation Council, Rocky Mountain Relocation Council, Canadian Employee Relocation Council, Midwest Relocation Conference, and Great Lakes Relocation Conference.
In a second noteworthy accomplishment, John also recently earned WERC’s Certified Relocation Professional® designation.
According to WERC, “The WERC® Certified Relocation Professional (CRP®) designation is the only credential dedicated to identifying professionals that demonstrate a broad understanding of managing employee mobility within the United States.
“Candidates achieve the designation through work experience and professional society engagement, studying a defined body of knowledge, and passing a comprehensive examination.”
